Hey Everyone, welcome back to Snapshot Saturday.
Yesterday when I came home from my walk I spent some time on the deck enjoying the wonderful summer like weather we have been having. As I sat there I thought I should take some photos.
With camera and tripod in hand I told myself that I could only photograph from the deck and my focus was to be on lines. In fact I had no problem photographing from the deck – there was lots of subject matter. I may have to do it again another day and see what I get but pick a different time of day.
Here are a few of the shots I took. The shadows were fantastic on the deck floor and I focused a lot on them. The composition in these photos relies on light, medium and dark value to accentuate the different lines and create contrast in each photo.

The light and flooring have created some interesting texture in the photos as well.
I suspect I could make a couple of interesting quilts with these photos – an achromatic one perhaps.
Happy Quilting!
