Hey Everyone, welcome back to Technique Tuesday. I am going to deviate from the usual this week as I have been thinking about the Stitch Along Sunday challenge for this month and how I would like to do it in Christmas fabrics as well. After all Christmas is fast approaching.
I went to my stash to see what there was and decided on some fabrics that I have had for years and years. In fact I bought them on a trip to Calgary. I liked the one fabric so much I bought many metres of it and still have those many metres. Definitely time to use a bit of it.
If you cannot recall the rules from Sunday then check out my post Stitch Along Sunday – November Week 1 to refresh your memory on my fabrics and the rules.
The saying for this month is “something round, something green, something Halloween” which I am sure can easily be adapted to Christmas it just won’t rhyme.
The three coordinating fabrics
The background fabric
The border fabric
I’ll have my squares cut in time for the next instalment and ready to go on Sunday.
Also something round, something green and something Christmas picked out to go with the fabrics. A look into the tickle trunk is definitely in order. The tickle trunk might even be a shop of some sort.
It will be very interesting to see how the two pieces turn out with the same instructions but totally different fabrics.
Happy Quilting!
What is a tickle trunk?!
A tickle trunk was from the kids show Mr Dress Up when I was a kid and it was full of all kinds of cool things to play with, create with or play dress up with.
