Wild and Spectacular Flowers

purple flower on grey background surrounded by purple thread flowers

Embrace your wild side with free motion zigzag!

In this class we will explore the world of fun fabrics, interesting backgrounds and border with texture, thread and last but not least free motion zigzag.

Working with intersting and funky fabrics of all colours and textures you will create a flower that becomes the focal point of your quilt. Explore background and borders that add dimension, texture and interest to the piece but not over powering the focal point.

Learn how to finish off the flower and add detail to each petal by using the technique of free motion zigzag. It’s as easy as colouring outside of the lines.

Not a flower fan that’s okay pick another object as your focal point – tree, animal, bird – anything goes.

The goal of this workshop is to create a stress free and relaxed environment to have fun, learn new techniques and create a gorgeous quilt whether it be a wall hanging, pillow or table runner. The project may look difficult but it is in fact uncomplicated and easy to create.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of quilters.
