Trees and sky

Hey Everyone, welcome back to Snapshot – Coffee Talk Saturday.

As I went to bed Thursday night it was snowing and I woke to a white world Friday morning. It was very pretty but…. I would prefer if it stayed away and come back just in time for Christmas. Somehow I don’t think that is going to happen seeing how this is already our second snowfall of the season. I am not liking my odds.

I took the opportunity to do some shooting while everything was still white a pristine. Definitely an achromatic feel to the shoot today. There was the odd bit of colour when I found a tree with leaves still on it.

It is a challenge to shoot snow and get the white balance right and not blow out the highlights and have everything just right. I think I did okay for the first time.

Here are my favourites from the shoot.

Twig Tree

Snow Laden Branches

Snow Topped Bricks

Stumps In The Snow

UFO Sighting

Too bad that UFO hadn’t taken a few of my UFO’s to finish for me.

Happy Quilting!
