Hey Everyone, welcome back to Snapshot – Coffee Talk Saturday.
When we were at the photography course at the end of August I had fun playing with photos in photoshop and the other day I was having some fun again.
At the top of the page a brown eyed-susan is merged with a beach scene creating a surreal looking piece as the flower appears to grow out of the beach.
This single red dahlia flower looks great with a couple of textures. I love how the dahlia looks like it has been painted onto the brick wall and the bed of rocks.

Brown Eyed-Susans
Finally a couple of brown eyed-susans are merged with some rope.
Adding the textures to these flowers makes for some very interesting effects and possibly some very interesting quilts. I think that there would be a lot of thread play involved in the quilting of these pieces to get the effect that is in the photos.
One day I hope to give it a go.
Happy Quilting!
Wouldn’t it be lovely if flowers really did emerge in these places, especially dahlias from boring old bricks! How clever you are to do this.
