Hey Everyone, welcome back to Stitch Along Sunday.
The last Sunday in January – wow that just doesn’t seem like it should be but the calendar doesn’t lie. This week’s challenge rules can be found on Ruth’s blog – Week 4 Rules.
The past three weeks we have used the letters of the alphabet to create out challenge piece. A for appliqué, B for broderie perse, C for colour, D for dark, E for embellishment and F for free motion. This week’s letter is G for glitter.
Glitter! I had no idea what I was going to put on my piece that was glittery. I thought about it for a bit and then remembered these beads I had that were a bit glittery. It took me awhile to find them as I thought they were in a different box than where they actually were. Once found it didn’t take long to attach my little fire flies.
Here is close up of the fire flies flitting about the flower.
Now Ruth didn’t say to bind the piece but I went ahead and did so with one of the black fabrics that is in the checkerboard background.
All done for another month.
Happy Quilting!
The fireflies are really cute, I love it! Congratulations on another Stitch Along Sunday finish, I really admire your constancy.
Thanks Juliet. They are very cute and add just the right finish.
I love this project and how yours turned out. Beautifully done.
Thanks Linda. I really like this one too.
That was such a lovely quilt in all aspects Jen.
Must be a great feeling and I too admire your constancy and sparks of humour.
Thanks Ann. These little projects are fun to do and I actually get them finished.
