Hey everyone!
I just wanted to share with you this photograph of my Purely Canadian quilt on display at Country Concession’s booth at this fall’s CreavitvFestival in Toronto.
I spent Friday at the Country Concessions booth helping promote the pattern and the quilt kits that had been put together for it. It was a pretty fun day and I had the chance to meet many wonderful and interesting quilters and fabric artists. Purely Canadian was very well received, we sold out of all the kits by mid afternoon on Friday and the patterns also sold very well.
Later in the afternoon, once things had quietened down a bit, I got out to take in some of the show and visit with the other quilt shop owners who were displaying at the Festival. Again, it was great finally getting to meet some of these wonderful, passionate people and I’m really looking forward to getting to know them better over the next couple of months.
Well, like I said, just a short post today about CreativFestival. Things are getting back to normal here at Quilts by Jen now that Purely Canadian is published – my Technique Tuesday post will be on time this week – yay!
All right then, until tomorrow!
lovely quilt. can you tell me the name of the blocks that is in the top border, the one that looks like a maple leaf? I’ve made it before, but can’t remember the name.
Hi Cinzia The block is a maple leaf if you are speaking of the ones in each corner of the border. The other block between the main body of the quilt and the border is Delectable Mountains.
