stitched bricks on fabric

Hey Everyone, welcome back to Free Motion Friday.

This is a very simple free motion motif of bricks. All it is is moving in a straight line creating rectangles to look like bricks. By off setting each row it does look like a wall of bricks.

To start draw a rectangle where you want the motif to be – it will be a guideline as to where to stop and start the rows.

Area to be stitched.

Stitch across the top line of the rectangle.

one line of stitching across the top

Stitch across the top first

Stitch down the side about a ½″ and then start across the row going up to the top line and back down over the same line to create a brick. Continue down the row to the end.
