Hey Everyone, welcome back to Technique Tuesday.
I don’t have a technique to bring to you today but there will definitely be some in the future with all these wonderful new tools and notions that I have in my studio.
Today I went with Carla & John from QUILTsocial and A Needle Pulling Thread magazine to visit H.A. Kidd. They are a huge notion, tool, sewing and craft products manufacturing and distributing company in Toronto who supply quilt shops, craft shops and other retail shops with all kinds of notions, tools and a multitude of other goodies.
It was better than Christmas as you can see by the photo at the top of the page. I went shopping in their two showrooms and had a blast picking out different items to highlight on Cool Tool Thursday as well as Technique Tuesday and QUILTsocial. I have to admit it was a bit overwhelming as there was just so much to choose from. I certainly was like a kid in a candy shop looking at one item and then getting distracted by another.
After having taken a couple of months off I will be back blogging for QUILTsocial starting in July – the second week of July to be exact. I will be using some of these notions to create a small quilting project and highlighting each one as I go along.
I am really looking forward to playing with all these great new tools, gadgets, notions, threads and other wonderful items over the next few months on both my website and QUILTsocial.
I am so excited. Stay tuned as I’ll be getting started later this week with the first cool tool and you won’t want to miss it.
