In mid December an e-mail arrived in my in box announcing that I was chosen to be a presenter at the virtual event Layered & Stitched: An Art Quilt Experience. I was jumping around with joy, dancing on my tip toes and just overall thrilled to be chosen to share my love of textiles and quilting with all of you.
What an honour it is to be a part of this first ever Art Quilt event and among so many other great instructors and textile artists. Here’s the line up – isn’t it spectacular!
It’s going to be an amazing event so you don’t want to miss out on securing your spot. The colour event back in February sold out and it was absolutely awesome – there were so many great speakers with amazing content to absorb. And the best part is that you have access to all the recordings after the live event so you can watch it over and over. With this being a virtual event people from all over the world can take part and never have to get on an airplane or leave the comfort of their home.
Each speaker has their own link for the event. Using my link saves you $20 and provides me a small commission and lets the event coordinators know where all the sign ups are originating from. Click here to register for Layered & Stitched: An Art Quilt Experience.
My presentation is all about how less is more when creating landscapes.
Minimalistic Landscapes: Less is More
Embark on a thrilling journey into textile artistry as Jen guides you in breathing life into a staticimage, transforming it into a vibrant landscape of fabric. From the initial sketch to the final stitch, Jen guides you through simplifying the scene, infusing it with movement and texture. Explore fabric choices, angles, and quilting techniques to capture the depth and dimension of your project. Let the fabric and stitching do the talking to create a simple, dynamic landscape where less is more!
I’m super excited to be a part of this event and I look forward to seeing you there. Registration for the event goes live today, so join me and all the other awesome speakers at the Layered & Stitched: An Art Quilt Experience two day event on May 17 & 18, 2024.
Until next time,
Happy Quilting
