Gingerbread Treats and Peppermint Candy

Hey Everyone, welcome back to Story Time Monday.

I know it isn’t Christmas yet but believe you me it will be here before we know it. Not to mention the fabrics are arriving in your local quilt shop soon – if not already. My parcel of fabric arrived a few weeks ago – I was quite surprised when it did as I wasn’t even thinking about Christmas and then here was this fabric on my doorstep.

Northcott sent me the digital swatches for this fabric way back in September last year so that I could create some patterns for them. I’ve gotta say, this fabric is seriously cute and I had a great time designing a pattern to go along with it. There are gingerbread men, candies, stripes, dots and of course gingerbread houses. The fabric line is called Gingerbread Treats by Deborah Edwards for Northcott. You can buy and download the Peppermint Candy pattern I created for this fabric.

I named this quilt pattern Peppermint Candy because the fabric has all kinds of peppermints on it. Even those candy corn candies you get at Halloween only they are green and red. The quilt includes a few traditional bits of Christmas like stars, trees, stockings and candy canes. Lots of fun and easy for any quilter to put together. The finished size of the quilt is 37 ½″ x 51 ½″.

Also a great piece to practice free motion quilting on and customize each row. Wouldn’t that be fun?

Check out your local quilt shop for the fabric and if you wish to purchase the pattern just hit the button below and download it now.
