Hey Everyone, welcome back to Cool Tool Thursday.
The tool this week is a bit odd shaped to say the least. I received it for the quilt challenge I am taking part in on QUILTsocial and had thought it was a quilting motif template but it is actually a shapes template. One could certainly use it for a quilting motif as well.
The Jelly Pointer Template from SewEasy makes 6 different shapes as listed here on the back of the packaging. Instructions are provided on how to cut them out with a rotary cutter and they certainly look straight forward.
The template itself is made from a sturdy plastic and is well marked. Each shape is marked by a letter and the shape can be cut out as a whole shape and some as a cut out of the shape with a hole in the middle.
As well the shapes can be cut with two pieces of fabric for a two tone piece or one fabric.
A 28mm rotary cutter is needed to cut the shapes with this template.
I’m going to put this cool tool to use for mug rug Monday. Join me then to see what I create and how to use the Jelly Pointer Template.
Happy Quilting!
