Hey Everyone, welcome back to Coffee Talk Saturday.
I spent the day teaching today at Country Concessions – 2 great classes. One on colour and the other a basic appliqué course. Both were subscribed very well, everyone learned lots and most importantly it was fun.
A couple of years ago Michael and I decided that life was just far too short not to do what we wanted – what we were passionate about. We thought what if we get to 60 and think why didn’t I try that and so we packed up our house, put ourselves and pets on an airplane and returned to Canada from Australia to pursue our passions.
My passion of course being quilting – all aspects of it – teaching, designing, piecing, stitching and so on. Michael’s passion being photography.
It is certainly different from what we were doing before and although it has it’s pros and cons I have to say that it is great to be doing what I love. I find myself even busier now than I ever was before when I worked a real job and it is okay because I choose to be busy doing what I love.
So if you could do anything you wanted what would it be……..
I’ll leave you with this video to ponder and think about what you would do if you could – and it isn’t always about if you can afford it, it is about making the decision and having the guts to actually follow through with your dreams.
Because life really is too short not to live it the way you want to.
WORDS TO LIVE BY JEN!!!! Congrats to both of you for taking the leap, it’s so important to follow your dreams. SO much more important than accumulating wealth through misery. Love E
indeed!
