Hey Everyone, welcome back to Stash Blasting Wednesday. A couple of weeks ago I highlighted the Bow Tie Block and then a few days after I made it I got to thinking I wonder how many different designs I can come up with using just this block. So I made a few more blocks which helped to deplete a bit more fabric from the stash.
Bow Tie Blocks
I started playing around with different configurations of the blocks together and boy was I surprised how many I came up with. The orange and turquoise look stunning together since they are complementary colours. Too bad I do not have enough fabric to make a whole quilt with these two fabrics – that’s all I have – but I do have an idea to incorporate them into a quilt.
It was fun to create with the few blocks I had made and these are the different designs I came up with. A few of the designs just have the fabrics in the opposite positions but by doing this the block takes on a different look.

Who knew a simple four patch design could create so many different layouts for such unique eye pleasing quilts.
Which one is your favourite? I haven’t quite decided on mine yet.
