Hey Everyone, welcome back to Free Motion Friday.
I’m preempting regular scheduled programming today so I can bring you a showcase of a few quilts that have been created in a class or two that I taught last year.
I love getting these photos from my students. It is so much fun to see the finished quilts.
The photo at the top of the page is of my Twisted Log Cabin that I made several years ago when I was living in Australia. I chose to quilt mine with an all over meandering or stippling in the background using a variegated thread.
Twisted Log Cabins
These three quilts were all started last April in a class I taught at the Bancroft Guild. It was a great class and we all had a lot of fun with some paper piecing.
Jacky’s Twisted Log Cabin
These three colours are stunning and I love the layout Jacky chose. The background fabric is fabulous with it’s texture and movement.

Marion’s colours match her decor perfectly and as I recall she wasn’t so sure about them when she was making the quilt. She had nothing to worry about.

The colours are soft and peaceful. It also looks like the piece was finished as a hexagon.

Bargello in Winter
This quilt is a pattern from Arbee Designs. I have also made this winter Bargello quilt which is fun and easy to create.
Carole’s Quilt
This is Carole’s Bargello quilt. Love the winter colours and the reindeer border fabric. Carole made this piece in a class I taught at the Rouge Valley Quilt Guild in Pickering, ON.
