Laundry hamper with a bike motif on the side

Hey Everyone, welcome back to Story Time Monday.

This isn’t a story about laundry nor is it a story about bikes rather it is a story about my new scrap holder which happens to be a laundry hamper with bikes on it.

We were at The Bike Shop in Gravenhurst on Sunday afternoon. Michael went to drop his bike off for some servicing and I went to say hi to the dogs – oh yes and the people too. Matt & Christie the owners of The Bike Shop have 4 Malamutes between them and they are wonderful. Most of the time in the summer you will find them lying in the dirt of the rock garden at the front of the shop staying cool. Sorry no pics – the next time I go I’ll take their pics.

As we were standing around having a chin wag I noticed this display of bike adorned items such as mugs, aprons, trivets and so on. Then my eye spotted the hamper and I knew I had to have it.

I love the bike designs – 3 in total. They appear to be cruiser bikes of some description. My goal in life is to live in a seaside village and have cruiser bike that I can pedal around town with a basket on the front.

The first bike you can see in the photo at the top of the page. I’m calling it delivering the news.

Bike number 2 is heading off to party.

I now have a classy and whimsical scrap bin under my table – much nicer than the blue recycle bin. I’ve cleaned out the blue bin and put my scraps in the new hamper and it is a third full – how can that be since I got rid of my copious amount of scraps. Now granted I did keep a few from the clean out and I have created more over the last couple of weeks. At this rate I’ll be doing another clean out in no time.

The scraps are multiplying

I guess scraps are like dishes and laundry they just keep on piling up.

Happy Quilting!
