A Poppy Wall Hanging

Hey Everyone, welcome back to Colourful Friday.

I was trolling through my photo library and found this photo of a poppy wall hanging that I made many years ago.

It is a McKenna Ryan pattern and was part of one of her block of the month quilts. I only did the one block as I only bought that pattern but she does have some amazing patterns if you love appliqué.

It was created long before I really started paying attention to the colour wheel and all of the different colour schemes. I think I did pretty good at creating a complementary colour scheme when I had no idea that orange and blue were complementary colours.

The quilt was given to one of my best friends as a birthday present. Now that she lives not far from me I can again see it and enjoy it when I am visiting.

I just thought I would share this little bit of colour with you today and a few flowers swaying in the breeze.

Happy Quilting!
