Painter's Canvas Fabrics

Hey Everyone, welcome back to Coffee Talk Saturday.

Today I am afraid is going to be short and sweet.

I had thought I would have work done on my Granny’s Choice quilt from last week but no such luck. But I do have an idea and am trying to figure out how to incorporate this lino relief print I did at a workshop back in 2013. I’ll keep working on it.

Then I really thought I would have my Funky J quilt done – LOL. Who am I kidding it takes almost 3 hours to stitch around just one colour of appliqué pieces. I did get the purple done – here’s what it looks like now. The purple really stands out now.

So I thought I would just share with you my new stack of fabric that arrived in the mail today – isn’t it fantastic. Such fabulous colours. I just had to have all the colours when the e-mail from Flare Fabrics arrived in my inbox last week announcing their arrival. It is called Painter’s Canvas and is a fabric line from Michael Miller fabrics.

Fabulous colours

The fabric has such a wonderful texture on them. Here’s the grey.

Such great texture

I have no idea what I am going to make with them but I know I’ll think of something. Can you believe this is the first fabric I have bought since November? Such control I have had or maybe it is because it has been far too cold to venture out of the studio.

Have a wonderful day.

Happy Quilting!
