Another Purple Tool

Hey Everyone, welcome back to Cool Tool Thursday.

Look another purple tool. This one is called That Purple Thang. I first was introduced to them by Judy Niemeyer but I don’t think I really did anything with it in her class. It has sat in my tool box for many years and only comes out occasionally to see the light of day.

This week I brought it out to help poke the corners out in my How to finish a quilt with no binding Technique Tuesday project.

It does work great for this and is pointy enough and small enough to get those corners nice and pointed. Just be careful not to poke it through the fabric as it will leave a hole. The two ends of tool have different shapes to help you work the corners out perfectly.

The corners all neat and tidy

How many of you have a Purple Thang and what do you use it for?

Happy Quilting!
